Another Source's client, The Claremont Colleges Library is recruiting a Director of Distinctive Collections and Digital Scholarship to join their team in the heart of Southern California. This is a great opportunity to join the Library—the principal academic support unit of the highly respected Claremont Colleges Services--in a unique role that will make an impact across seven prestigious campuses.
This role will allow you to articulate a vision of the application of digital strategies to preserve, enhance and expand access to distinctive print-based collections and primary source materials. You will be a crucial member of the Library's senior leadership, being a strategic partner to respond effectively to the changing needs of The Claremont Colleges.

About the Role
Reporting to the Dean of The Claremont Colleges Library, the Director of Distinctive Collections and Digital Scholarship (DCDS) will bring a deep understanding of the major strategies, opportunities, challenges and trends facing academic libraries today in the areas of open publishing, data and digital scholarship, the curation of digital assets, and the enhancement of research, teaching and learning through special collections and archives. This position has oversight over three main units within the newly-formed DCDS division: Digital Scholarship, Scholarly Communications and Open Publishing and Special Collections and Archives. The distinctive and unique collections of the Asian Library are also included within this division.
